Purpose: To bring people together from the village to celebrate the coming New Year with praise, worship and the Word of the LORD.
Insights:
It is common for the people of this village, located within the municipality of Ilaka Est, to celebrate the holidays with singing, dancing and alcohol.
However, Sitraka has been making her present felt as a medical missionary and evangelist in her small village. Thanks to the grace of the LORD, of course.
In providing medical services, language classes and economic relief to this struggling village, the numbers of people who attend her evangelistic meetings has been growing and growing.
She desires to conduct a “New Year’s Song Service” to draw people’s mind to higher and holier purposes. Through sacred song, prayer and the Word of the LORD, she desires to encourage the people to head on a new path of consecration to the LORD for the new year.
