Medical Missionary Work

In a small village, located in the municipality of Ilaka Est., Sitraka, and her two teenagers (Aïcha, and Eva) have decided devote their lives to serving the community there by medical missionary evangelism.

This is not an easy work. They do not have running water nor electricity in their home so they have to live a “country living” lifestyle while still being available to the community for medical services. In a small 2 bedroom home (in actuality, it’s only 2 rooms), Sitraka provides for her children as a parent and runs her medical missionary practice. Essentially, her office is her home.

Other times, her office is the wherever she can treat the person. This is, usually, their home as they are, sometimes, unable to make the journey to her humble home.

What does Sitraka have at her disposal? For the most part, the simple herbs of the field. With access to things such as cassava tree leaves, cayenne pepper, and even good ole processed cane sugar, Sitraka does her work. She does not depend on “drug” or pharmaceutical medicine. By faith, she trusts that the LORD has provided all the necessary nutrients that promote healing in the simple plants He created. She believes, through His created works, He will heal the sick. And, by faith, she practically acts out her belief by depending on those remedies. With the exception of a blood glucose machine, her practice is completely natural.

“… the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.”
