Land Purchase – Antanandrainiminty

Our family has been conducting evangelism in a, previously unreached, village named “Antanandrainiminty” in Madagascar. We operate in an eastern region named Vatomandry and the primary village’s name is Ilaka Est.

Originally, without my physical presence (Alfred), the family was preaching to the children and adults of this village under a tree. It took much effort to reach this village every sabbath. They had to pass through rivers and up and down mountains every sabbath morning in their sabbath clothes. As I arrived, we continued to go there and, quickly, we cleared an easier path and a school allowed us to use their property to conduct our sabbath morning teachings (school location is in photo).

An opportunity opened for us to purchase land in this same village and we felt God opened the opportunity because of the price and location. We requested help and were, immediately, supported financially for this purchase. We did the due diligence and purchased the land legally. Now, we desire help going forward. It’s a great work and we desire help to continue to make the land useful and prepare it for an eventual church.

Current Status: Purchased and awaiting border map creation by the local government.

Current Resources on hand: Approx $0

Next major cost: Approx $50

Next phase: Clearing the land to place a building and marking the border with a simple fence

Short Term Plan:

  • Build structure for meetings
  • Plant Papaya, Jackfruit and Monkey Orange trees
  • Establish a vegetable Garden

These steps, if to be done in a timely manner, will require workers, fruit trees, seeds, compost and, possibly, tools.

Intended goal for short term plan: The primary goal is to provide a place for our religious meetings and, eventually, build a Seventh-Day Adventist Church in this area. Secondly, we want to build a place for medical missionary functions such as treating the sick and educating the people. Finally, we hope to have an agricultural effort connected with this particular church location. We believe the people should be educated on how to grow their own food so they can eat more healthfully and earn a living off produce from the land.

If you feel compelled to help us continue this project, please pray for us, first and foremost. If you are in a position to support us financially, please see our giving page.
